As perfectly wonderful and ravishing and exquisitly delightful this site is... there is always room for improvement.  However, I usually don't have the slightest clue as to what needs to be changed.  (I'm usually so over-critical of myself that I'd prefer to change every single thing every day!)  So, to fix this minuscule problem, I have created this Suggestion Box where you, the visitors and viewers, can comment on what you like and don't like about the site and if anything should be added/improved.  But please- don't be rude.  I really don't have time to listen to crap.

Previous Suggestions

From Linda: Hiya!  I hope you don't mind me making a suggestion.  On your Idleography page you seem to have no reviews at all.  It might be easier for you to remove the line rather then leaving it blank. Otherwise, you have a rocking site!  I hope you will add some more pictures whenever you have the time!

Reponse:  Hello Linda.  :)  I don't mind people making suggestions at all- it helps me understand what my viewers like and don't like about the site.  The reason the Idleography page has no reviews yet is because I'm redoing them, and some are still being made.  It's one of my 'coming soon' features.  So I will not be taking them off, rather, slowly adding them!  And as for pictures, well, the galleries take oodles of time, but you can be sure that over time there will be LOTS more lovely Eric to look at!

From Leo:  Hello, great site.  How about we use this site to start pestering Eric to release Rutland Weekend Television on DVD?  Get a petition going or something?  Also, how about you put up a version of Pass the Butler for us to read? I can't aford the £170 odd quid asking price on Amazon!

Response:  Hi there Leo.  That's a great idea about getting a petition started, however, I sincerely doubt it's Eric who owns the rights to the show.  I'd have to somehow find out who DOES own the rights (most likely the BBC), and then direct the petition towards them, rather than bugging Eric when he has no control over it.  As for Pass The Butler, I can't do that for two reasons.  One, it is illegal to put an entire book/script on here, and two, I don't own Pass The Butler to be able to do that anyways!

From Anonymous #1:  It would be great if you added a list of song lyrics.

Response:  There is already an entire list of song lyrics on the Music page.

From JGTMTE: Hey Diane! I was just wondering if you could get some Eric Idle games on the website. Don't get me wrong, the website's awesome! I was just wandering if you could put some games, like make your own maze or something.

Reponse:  Actually, I was planning on adding some new games once I get the rest of the site updated to the new layout.  However, there are a couple of games up already in the Entertainment section, which hardly anyone plays, so it kind of discourages me from creating more games when I already have ones that no one is interested in.  But we'll see.  :)

From Claire:  Hi! This site is really great! I just wondered if it is possible for you, Diane, to arrange the pictures in the 'Eric As Himself' gallery in some sort of chronological order. I guess it's impossible to do so, as, I gather, since dating the pictures is not easy. Still, it would be very nice! :)

Response:  It has been done!  The new galleries feature chronological order and are much easier to navigate.

From Anonymous #2:  I love Eric Idle and would like to know when he did the voice of Rincewind on the Playstation games. I was wondering if there was a way where you could put a media section to where fans can download the dialouge from the game.

Response:  Eric did the voice work for Rincewind in 1995 and again in 1996 for the sequal game.  As for downloadable clips, go to the MP3 section on the Music page, and you'll find a bunch of voice clips there.

From JGTMTE: Hey Diane, well im glad you don't mind people leaving suggestions because I am suggesting that you make an Eric Idle fan songs page so that people who can describe their words only in song can show them round the world on this magnificent website!

Response:  A fan songs section has been recently added to the Fanfiction area.

From Anonymous #3:  Hey Diane, i was wondering if you could get the part of the South Park, Bigger Longer And Uncut with Dr. Vosknocker and Cartman where they put the V-Chip in Cartman. It would be great if you could get the sound of that.

Response:  If you know of somewhere where I can get the clip for it, I'd be glad to.

From Anonymous #4:  Hey Diane, I was wondering if you could get some Eric/Rutles songs guitar chords because I'm learning the guitar and there are a few websites which have them for those  who wanna learn.

Response:  Perhaps later I can add them, but not right now.  It's a matter morely of chords being a pain to re-create with the lyrics and all, and that's too much of a hassle for right now.  Perhaps I can add a few links to some pages with chords though, for those interested.

From Anonymous #5: I just wanted to say that this is a really good site! :) But I wish you could make one about the other members... please??

Response:  When you say 'members' I'm supposing that you mean Monty Python, and my answer to your request is this:  NO.  Not in a million years.  This site is dedicated to Eric Idle, NOT Monty Python, or anyone else associated.  Why would I want to make sites about the other Pythons?  IH is my dedication, my hobby, as to spread the greatness of Mr. Idle.  The other Pythons are great and all, but I'm not going to even try to make a page about someone who I care less for than Eric.  End of story.

From Anonymous #6: Hello Diane! I am just suggesting that the Eric Idle fans could give a review on the movies because you had Sorry No Reviews for a while and then you got rid of it.

Response:  Actually, if you look on the Idleography page, I never have gotten rid of my Sorry No Reviews yet.  I simply haven't had time to do them yet, but rest assured that they will eventually be up with the chance for viewers to rate the films and enter their opinions.

From Anonymous #7:  Hi, the site's great! However, I when I looked through the Idleography pages, I noticed that you've never mentioned about any of the games that Eric voiced, like Discworld 2. I'm not sure whether that was the only game he voiced, but thought it may be a cool addition.

Response:  Ah!  Thank you for bringing this up!  I'd totally forgotten about Discworld!  And it's not only Discworld 2 that he's featured in- he is in the original Discworld game as well.  I'm going to add these to the Idleography page right away.

From Anonymous #8:  Hi there, your site is really lovely! Well, I'm a regular but quiet visitor, usually craving for updates (and Eric). Now let me suggest an improvement- how about your fanfics area? Are there going to be some new fanfics added sometime in the future? I just LOVE reading fanfics, and I would really love to see new ones in here (and I guess it's not only me but whole crowds of fans). Anyway, your site is otherwise absolutely perfect, but I need tons of fanfics to my absolute satisfaction... tee hee! Keep up the great work though! BTW, do you usually write fanfics? I see you write everything imaginable so I guess it would be nice to read a fanfic written by you... just a guess...

Response:  I take the fanfics as they come... which hasn't been a whole lot, unfortunately.  Unlike some other sites, I also only accept fanfiction that is completed, rather than posting it in bits and pieces, which never completely guarantees whether or not the story will ever be finished.  I'm always open to any Eric fic, though: I just ask that it's completed, and that it's had a grammar check go through it.  Anyone is welcome to write and submit some writing.  As for me, I have a Splitting Heirs fic posted called A Perfect Lie.  Go and check it out!

From Jack:  Why don't you advertise the forum a bit? No one has posted there since the 23rd of September.

Response:  We now have a new PHPbb forum that is quite the happening place.  There are about a hundred posts on there daily, so if you like forums, head on over!

From Mark Stevensen:  I'm the designer who created the Spamalot website. On your site you said very nice things about the Spamalot site, but said that it was very high bandwidth.  I just wanted to point out that there is a low band version of the site that any dialup user will have no problem accessing.

Response:  I have sent you an email, Mark, which basically says that if you point out to me where I refer to it as high bandwidth, I'd be happy to change it for you.  At the time that I posted that, it was most likely before you had your low bandwidth version up and running.

From Paul Evans: Please please please do a Greedy Bastard Tour in the UK!!!

Response:  I'm sorry Paul, but my name is Diane, not Eric Idle.  This site is not affiliated with Mr. Idle, and thus he did not receive your plea.  I can tell you that I doubt that Eric will be embarking upon any other tours, but if he does, he will most likely be going to Australia, or hitting the states he missed with his first Greedy Bastard Tour.

From Chelsey: Hi Diane. I just wanted to suggest maybe adding the words of the different Monty Python's Flying Circus sketches? Hehe, just a thought. Love your site! ^___^

Response:  I had decided a long time back not to put on the sketches for a coule of reaons, one being that I figured that sort of thing is best left for a Monty Python based website, and the second being that there are already a lot of sites with the scripts already on them that I didn't see the need to be repetitive.  I suggest you look at some of our affiliates' sites, as they have a lot of different sketches transcribed for you.

From Chelsey: Hi, I know I have already made a suggestion, but maybe if you don't already have them, perhaps you could make an Eric desktop theme?  I know they are hard, so if it's too difficult, that's okay.

Reponse:  While that is a good idea, I have never made a desktop theme before (probably why I have never made for this site) as I have never needed use of one.  I wouldn't know where to begin, or even how many icons to make, as everyone's computer and desktop is different.  Perhaps I'll consider it for another time, but no guarantees.

From Wouda: Nice site. At last I can see more fans of Eric Idle! Could you maybe put an MP3 of the money song on the music page? Or if you can't find that one, maybe the 'Killing for God' song?

Response:  I try not to put up MP3's of some of Eric's more popular songs, simply because I encourage people to go out and buy his CD's instead.  I usually put up stuff that is more rare, or that cannot be bought on a CD, or snippets of sound clips, etc.  However, I shall think about maybe putting up just a couple of MP3's, in hopes that people will like them so much that they will definitely want to purchase all of the albums themselves!
