"Whatever Happens In Camelot,
Stays In Camelot!"

Spamalot is a new hit Broadway musical lovingly ripped off from the popular comedy film, Monty Python And The Holy Grail.  The show itself is written by Python alumni Eric Idle, and he, along with partner John Du Prez, also wrote all of the songs including the music and lyrics both.  The show did a 'gypsy run' for a little over a month in Chicago and now is running in New York in the Shubert Theatre.

Back in June when the 2005 Tony Awards were hosted, Spamalot, who had received 14 Tony Nominations (a nomination in every category), actually received three grand Tonys.  Mike Nichols won for Best Director, Sara Ramirez won for Best Actress, and the play itself took the grail itself: Best Musical of 2005.

Now the show is being prepared to go on a small tour, hitting cities such as Boston, Chicago, Washington D.C., and Pittsburgh.  For West Coast people, the Wynn Casino is opening up sometime in 2007 the massive Grail Theatre that will be designed by Eric Idle and Tim Hately and will be set to play Spamalot for ten years.

Some current stars of the show include Steve Kazee (Sir Lancelot), Martin Moran (Sir Robin), Harry Groener (King Arthur), Lauren Kennedy (The Lady Of The Lady), and John Cleese as the voice of God.

So if you enjoy a show that's witty, amusing, hysterical, and downright funny, you'll adore Spamalot, the show that sets musicals back 1000 years!
