What are your opinions about this particular film? Give us your own insight! But please, take care of these simple rules first:
~ Don't be rude. If I think your review is inappropriate, I won't add it, simple as that.
~ No swearing. This is basically the same as the 'don't be rude' rule. We're not here to slam anyone.
~ Please keep in mind that this is an Eric Idle site. Sure, you're giving a review on the film, and that's great, but please don't go on and on about a different actor or actress throughout your review. For example, don't blab on about how John was so superb as the black knight and as the French taunter in Holy Grail, etc., as we'd much rather focus on Eric's traits in the film, and the overall storyline, appearance, and entertainment quality of the film itself. However, that being said, you are more than welcome to talk about Eric's role(s) as much as you like!

Synopsis:
The Rutles is a parody of the legendary Beatles, except the story is about Dirk, Stig, Nasty, and Barry, the pre-fab four. Based almost entirely on the Beatles' lives and history of their music and fame, The Rutles is a funny, comedy version of the famous rock n' roll band that changed music forever. Narrarated by Eric as an extremely silly interviewer, the movie tells everything you'd ever need to know about The Rutles, from their tight trousers, to their movies, to their hits, and to their tea-drinking.
Diane's Review:
Any Eric fan must see this film, as its one of Eric's true classics. You don't have to be a Beatles fan to be able to enjoy the story and journey through the Rutles' lives and music. Even with a small budget, the film looks good, and has a quality to it that makes it memorable and very funny - even funnier if you are a Beatles fan and understand a lot of the inside Beatles jokes and references. Between the musical parodies and constant spoofs with a pinch of Idle humor thrown into the mix, you are presented with a movie that was the first true 'mockumentary'.
