Hallo!  Welcome to the second issue of The Daily Dirty Fork.  As I mentioned on the website, I do not have the time to be able to write up the newspaper once every two weeks, unfortunately, so I have changed it to once a month.
However, I was a bit disappointed with Issue #1.  I had no comments or suggestions, ideas, game/trivia replies, whatsoever except for one person.  :(  Please, if you have some spare time, just write me a couple lines about the DDF and play a game or two!  I work hard on the DDF, but if people aren’t getting any benefit out of it, then I will cease to put so much effort into it.
Remember, for any replies or e-mails related to the DDF, please send it to Webmistress_Diane@eric-idle.com!

If you are interested in going to the tour and haven’t gotten your tickets yet, I advise that you purchase them ASAP because they are going fast.

Also, Eric has been writing a journal to record day by day of his happenings on the tour,  I will be uploading each journal entry to my site in the Say No More/Quotes section each day.  It’s quite interesting reading.

If you are going to the tour, PLEASE, take some pictures, write up an article, and send whatever you can to me!  Not only would I love to hear about your experience, but I’m sure other SPAM members would be highly interested as well.  So like I said, please, send me info about your Eric Experience for those of you who will be seeing him! And remember- viewers are asked to dress strangely!

SPAM United
Just about everyone who receives this newsletter is a SPAM club member.  However, I believe that once we grow a little bit bigger, we should have a SPAM meeting!  It will be an internet chatroom meeting in the Nudge Nudge Chatroom (found in the Half A Bee Headquarters section) and as for times and dates, I am not sure.

But that is not the purpose for this particular article.  No, this has to do with Eric’s The Greedy Bastard Tour.  Now, I know that some of you are going, but others I do not know.  Perhaps you don’t have the money, or the time, or he’s just going to places that are too far away to travel to.  This is a saddening prospect, yes, especially to those who were looking forward to the tour.  But if you’d still like to say a thing or two to Mr. Idle, never fear!  I am willing to collect cards/letters/SMALL gifts from those who cannot meet him and when I go on December 16th in San Luis Obispo, after the show I will present them all to him.  So just for the sake of repeating myself, if you wrote a letter or had a card, send them to me, and when I see Mr. Idle I will bestow upon him a large gift basket containing all that was mailed to me.

If you are interested in doing this, or think it is clever, PLEASE reply to the poll below:

Is this a good idea?

A.  It’s spamtacular!

B.  No, it’s silly.

Monty Python's 34th Anniversary
Exactly 34 years ago from this very day, October 5th, Monty Python’s Flying Circus had it’s debut and aired for the first time on BBC1 television in Great Britain.  The show was on at 10:50 PM and lasted that of about 45 minutes.  It was the beginning of the legend of Python.  To quote Pythonline, "The world was never the same again."

Holy Grail, Casper, And
Hollywood Homicide On DVD
On September 16th Monty Python’s The Quest For The Holy Grail Special Collector’s Edition was released by Columbia Tristar Home Entertainment.  The two-set DVDs include basically everything that the special edition one did, except for an extra added screenplay and new box.  (Haha)  However, here is what they consist of:

Also, a couple of weeks ago Casper was released out on DVD and included special features such as biographies of all the cast, deleted scenes (with yes, new Eric bits!), interviews with the actors, and a commentary with the director.

And last, but not least, Hollywood Homicide will be released on VHS and DVD this Tuesday, October 7th.  Having not seen the movie I don’t really know what it’s about, but Mr. Idle is in it for about two minutes!  (A very quick cameo- lol.)

SPAMELOT
For quite some time Eric Idle has been hinting about a secret project between him and musical composer John Du Prez.  Now, finally, Eric has announced what the big mystery is- a musical production of The Quest For The Holy Grail, titled SPAMELOT.
SPAMELOT was written by Eric himself based on the original screenplay from the Grail movie.  The Broadway production will also include new songs by Idle and Du Prez and include two songs from the actual film.
However, SPAMELOT is quite a bit of a ways off.  It is not going to be open to the public until sometime round the Spring of 2005.  Casting calls will be soon though for those interested in actually being a part of this wonderful creation and idea.
The play itself will be directed by Mike Nichols, choreographed by Jerry Mitchell, and designed by Tim Hatley.
And even though it is titled as "SPAMELOT" right now, while on his tour Eric will ask the audiences for suggestions for other names.  (Interesting, huh?  So if you’re going, start thinking of possible titles!)
Keep your eyes open for any more news or facts on the newest Python extravaganza!

Halloween Fun
I don’t know how many of you love the holiday of Halloween, but I know I do.  Parties and dressing up can be a lot of fun.  So if you or perhaps some of your pals got together to be loonies for a night, why not take some pictures?  I’d love to feature some hilarious pics of SPAM members being… well… insane!  All photos would be featured in the November issue.  Photos can be of you, family, friends, or perhaps your well-decorated house.  Please send in all pictures ASAP after Halloween.

Idleized Heaven Site News
This is basically most of the same stuff that you can find on the Daily Dirty Fork page on the website, but it’s always good to keep viewers updated!

I haven’t been working as hard the past week as I should have, but I’ve been stuck in a rut and have been quite busy.  Sorry!  However, there have been many changes.
First off, I did make a new layout.  It is with frames.  Now, I have looked at it on a computer with a setting of 1000X700 something yada, and I have come to the conclusion that it looks MUCH better if you have a setting of 800X700 yada.  I am not sure whether I am going to keep this layout or not though.  I really like it, and I do agree that it looks much better than previously, but the frames sometimes bug me a bit.  I had a poll at the bottom of my page for some time, and people agreed that they liked it a lot more now, so I am not really sure.  Now if Mr. Idle could give me his opinion, that would be helpful!  *grin*
I’ve added a new section called Pointed Sticks and Nudges.  I have a lot of stuff and ideas for the site yet to still add, but they didn’t belong in any of the other categories, so PSAN will be acting as sort of a miscellaneous area.  I haven’t begun working on these pages yet, but I will soon.
The Say No More section is completed at last.  I have divided it into two parts- Quotes and Songs.  On the Songs/Sounds page I have lyrics and MP3s, WAVs, and midis of some of Eric’s songs.  However, the sounds pages sometimes wouldn’t work right for me, so hopefully it will work fine for everyone else.  As for the Quotes page, well, it still needs lots of work.  There are many, many quotes that I still need to add.
I hope to have the basics of the site completed sometime round the middle of November.  Then I will begin on the hard-core work to improve everything and get it all up-to-date and looking fabulous.
In the meantime, if you have any contributions, suggestions, or comments for Idleized Heaven, please drop me a line!

Alright!  There was Issue #2 for you!  If you have anything to say at all, please feel free to do so!  Have a great day!
