What are your opinions about this particular film?  Give us your own insight!  But please, take care of these simple rules first:

~ Don't be rude.  If I think your review is inappropriate, I won't add it, simple as that.

~ No swearing.  This is basically the same as the 'don't be rude' rule.  We're not here to slam anyone.

~ Please keep in mind that this is an Eric Idle site.  Sure, you're giving a review on the film, and that's great, but please don't go on and on about a different actor or actress throughout your review.  For example, don't blab on about how John was so superb as the black knight and as the French taunter in Holy Grail, etc., as we'd much rather focus on Eric's traits in the film, and the overall storyline, appearance, and entertainment quality of the film itself.  However, that being said, you are more than welcome to talk about Eric's role(s) as much as you like!

Synopsis:

In the late 18th century, the Baron Munchausen, whose legendary adventures are somewhat unbelievable, is nearing the end of his life; while coincidentally the Age of Reason is beginning. The Turks are at war with a small town, and the Baron believes he can end it. The Baron sets off with a little girl named Sally, the only person believing that the Baron is who he says he is, to find his lost comrades who all have unique abilities.  Together they will all help the Baron defeat the Turks and save the day (as well as the crumbling town). Along the way they encounter many bizarre and unusual adventures, but can the Baron find his friends in time?

Diane's Review:

This movie is funny, witty, and cute.  It is neither a children's film, nor is it made for adults.  It's simply for those who like intriguing adventures of fantasy with quirks thrown in-between.  While the visual displays are intriguing, the storyline itself can be hard to follow if you don't play close attention to the back-and-forth time and scene jogging.  Eric's character, Berthold, is also a bit of a shock, as Eric is bald and is made up to look very old, so it's not a very pleasing appearance-wise role, but an amusing one as always, for he portrays 'the fastest man in the world'.  Sarcasm and fantasy story-telling play heavily into this film.

Frick's Review:

I absolutely adored this movie. This movie (one of Gilliam's best, I believe) captures the imagination of the viewer and takes them on a ride from beginning to end. Although the first time I saw this movie I was a bit confused, viewing it a second time made it all clearer. The acting is superb, the plot is enticing, and the costume/scenery is outstanding. The way Gilliam creates and maintains this fictitious world that the characters lives in is phenomenal. I adored this movie before I knew who Eric Idle was, and I still adore it to this day. I recommend this movie to anyone who loves adventure with a double dose of fantasy.
